for the 2026 NLEO Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Deadline for 2026 is 10.31.2025

Any individual is welcome to nominate an officer of any rank, sworn or non-sworn, or law enforcement supporter from any U.S. and Canada law enforcement agency or state. Award winners are chosen by an anonymous Inductee Selection Board based on a wide variety of criteria including, but not limited to:

• Service above and beyond the call of duty

• Notable acts of courage or valor

• Outstanding contributions to the profession

• Unique approaches to community service/relations

• Overall career achievement 

• Selfless dedication to the safety and well-being of fellow officers

• Extraordinary endurance and/or survival commitment in extreme events

• Particularly inspiring professional and/or personal behavior 

***Suggested award categories are : Never Forgotten Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Trainer of the Year Award, School Resource Officer of the Year Award, Career Achievement Award, Distinguished Service Award, Courage in Service Award, Partners in Service Award, Young Officer Award.***

Overall, a law enforcement K9 award should celebrate the exceptional skills, accomplishments, and contributions of these highly trained and dedicated canine officers within the law enforcement community.

- Nominee Record on the Department-Please Attach ( It is important the officer has exhibited excellent character within the line of duty and the community the officer has served)

- Nominee Awards or Accolades Received (if applicable)

- Any additional information you feel is pertinent for the judge’s panel to review regarding your nominee.
